Suitable for:

A designated person who needs  Emergency First Aid at Work training which would enable them to be a qualified first aider in a low risk setting, or as an adjunct to fully qualified first aiders in a higher risk setting.

This accredited qualification is included on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

We can come to your place of work to deliver 'in house' courses. We cover areas that include Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Sussex  and London amongst others. We can train up to 12 people on site. Dates and times to suit you.

Course Content:

• Aims of First Aid
• Dealing with an Emergency
• Priorities of Treatment
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation – Adult, child ,baby
• Recognition and treatment of regurgitation. Use of face shields
• Choking – Adult, child, baby
• Unconscious Patient:
• Including recovery position and dealing with a patient who is in seizure (fitting)
• Bleeding / Shock
• Blood loss theory, internal bleeding, recognition and treatment of shock
• Wounds and Bleeding
• Cross infection / Treatment of bleeding and minor injuries
• Burns and Scalds
