Any employee who has to handle raw food, prepare and cook it for others as part of their work ie chefs,cooks. Ideal for food handlers who are handling high risk food and anyone working in a kitchen, running their own catering business, or supervising others in food preparation.
NB: candidates are assessed by an examination paper consisting of 30 multiple choice questions. Sucessful candidates achieving 20 or more correct answers will be awarded the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
The CIEH recommends that the training is refreshed every three years
